THE PRODUCTS:
SurfaPore® FX | for waterproofing and stabilization of loose cementitious substrates (if required)
SurfaMix® P or Universal Primer or Epoxy Primer WB | for the preparation of the application surface (depending on the pre-existing substrate)
SurfaPaint® Elastomeric Hellas Cool White or Elastomeric Roof Hybrid | final coating for waterproofing the surface

THE PROBLEM:
Huge amounts of thermal energy are easily transferred through the roof resulting in large amounts of energy required to heat and cool the building. In addition, water enters the building from points on the roofs where the insulation materials have failed, creating moisture and mold on the interior walls and ceilings. The solution of waterproofing with asphalt, created huge problems in the insulation of the roofs:
a) collects the incident heat radiation and heats the buildings,
b) the stains are visible and the failure at the points of welding of asphalt and parapets or between the rollers on the asphalt failure of this insulation system.
The same can be said for older polyurethane systems that turn yellow over time and crack due to water that contains pollutants from the atmosphere. One system that can adhere to old polyurethane and tarpaulins and repair cracked, yellowish surfaces that are difficult to achieve is the NanoPhos system. New cement substrates should have matured for more than 3-4 weeks before applying the primer. Make sure that the roof is dry and free of mold, dirt, dust, oily residues or materials from previous applications.
THE APPLICATION:
Apply SurfaPore® FX with a brush, roller or simple spray and let it dry for a day. SurfaPore FX WB should only be applied on cementitious substrates.
Apply one of the SurfaMix® products as a primer, depending on the pre-existing substrate. For more technical details, you can contact the NanoPhos Technical Department.
Apply SurfaPaint® Elastomeric Hellas Cool White or Elastomeric Roof Hybrid, two coats, crosswise using spray or roller. Make sure the edges and edges are completely covered. The application surface should be covered crosswise (horizontally and vertically) to ensure uniform application. Additional layers should be applied 24 hours after the previous application.
Following the application of the sealant, the application of SurfaShield® C using a simple spray is optionally recommended. Maximum effectiveness is achieved 24 hours after application.
